Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity
InSite Technical Services is a leading design and engineering consultancy based in West Wales, delivering projects across the Oil & Gas, LNG, Nuclear, and Renewables industries.
We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing technical direction and inputs to electrical team personnel, reviewing and approving engineering documents, and ensuring compliance with company and client procedures and applicable standards.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in detailed design engineering, cable sizing calculations using Amtech or similar software, strong knowledge of HV systems (up to 11/33kV), and exposure to mentoring junior team members.
As a senior member of the electrical team, you will lead on project technical decisions, coordinate electrical activities with other engineering disciplines, and attend internal and external project review meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical direction and inputs to electrical team personnel.
* Review and approve engineering documents, including calculations, specifications, datasheets, and reports.
* Ensure compliance with company and client procedures and applicable standards.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors.
* Lead on project technical decisions.
* Coordinate electrical activities with other engineering disciplines.
Requirements:
* Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
* Effective leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to interface and liaise with key client and internal stakeholders.
* Significant experience in detailed design engineering.
* Experience of carrying out cable sizing calculations using Amtech or similar software.
* Strong knowledge of HV systems (up to 11/33kV).

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
