We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer with specialized knowledge of HTM03-01 Part A & B to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in healthcare environments, ensuring compliance with HTM03-01 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HVAC System Operation and Maintenance:
2. Monitor and maintain the performance of HVAC systems in healthcare facilities, ensuring that all operations are in line with HTM03-01 Part B (Operational Management).
3. Perform regular inspections and audits of HVAC systems to assess their performance and compliance with HTM03-01 standards, particularly focusing on air quality, filtration, and temperature control.
4. Ensure that HVAC systems continue to meet the air quality standards set by HTM03-01, with a focus on infection control in critical environments such as operating rooms, isolation areas, and intensive care units.
5. Advise on any updates or changes needed to operational procedures to maintain compliance with evolving regulations and healthcare best practices.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
7. Prepare comprehensive reports on the operational performance of HVAC systems, including regular audits, maintenance logs, and compliance checks.
8. Ensure that all HVAC system documentation, including operational manuals, service logs, and compliance records, are up to date and available for inspections.
9. Collaboration:
10. Work closely with healthcare facility managers, estates teams, and infection control departments to maintain optimal system performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. HTM03-01 Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with HTM03-01 Part A & B and their application in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems in healthcare environments.
2. HVAC Expertise: Proven experience in managing and maintaining HVAC systems, with a focus on compliance with healthcare standards.
3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC system performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
4. Advisory Skills: Ability to provide clear, actionable advice on the design and operational planning of HVAC systems.
5. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed technical reports.
6. Compliance: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, infection control practices, and the role of HVAC systems in maintaining safe healthcare environments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
