Job Overview
The post holder is required to work closely with the Postgraduate Medical & Dental Education (PMDE) Team providing cover for all reception duties. The post holder will be expected to provide services with a professional demeanour in accordance with the Trust’s declared values and behaviours and to be of smart appearance, punctual and reliable to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. The role as a whole is to support the PMDE team both at County Hospital and RSUH, mainly based at County Hospital in the PGMC but on occasion the post holder will also work at the PMDE Department at RSUH.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder is required to work closely with the PMDE Team providing cover for all reception duties including operating a computerised booking system and receiving internal and external customers. The post holder will be required to organise occasional training sessions, assist other members of the PMDE team with administrative tasks when required and liaise on a regular basis with Foundation Trainees in connection to their eportfolio accounts. The post holder, along with colleagues, will also be required to open and close the PGMC; on these days flexibility with working hours will be required.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent
* RSA 11 word processing or equivalent
* Evidence of Microsoft office software and database experience
* Previous experience in a receptionist/clerical role
* Relevant experience of office administrative tasks
* Experience of working in an educational environment
