Smile Education is proud to be working in partnership with The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit a part-time Early Years SEND Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team providing high-quality education and support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
About the School
One of the Trust’s sites currently provides education for 52 pupils across 6 classes. This Staffordshire-based Generic Special School caters to children aged 2 to 11 years old with diverse and complex needs that cannot be met within mainstream education. The school adopts a flexible pathways approach, ensuring tailored curriculum plans that cater to each individual child’s progression.
Staff work holistically to support academic learning, social development, and self-esteem building, encouraging pupils to develop self-regulation skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
The School’s Vision
The school is committed to providing an inclusive education that inspires all pupils to work, learn, and achieve together in a supportive and engaging environment. Our lessons are mainly hands-on and sensory-based, utilizing both the classroom and outdoor environments to create immersive learning experiences. Additionally, the school minibus is used to explore the community, allowing students to develop real-world skills in various settings.
We encourage our children to be as independent as possible, providing them with opportunities to practice life skills in real-world scenarios. The school also promotes the use of PECS, Makaton, and Intensive Interaction to enhance communication and social development.
