Role Description
As Area Sales Manager, you will be the focal point for all Key Accounts & new customers for the related geographical area. The Area Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for the existing and future sales development within our Products & Services business model. Efforts will be focused across the North East of England with a particular drive towards end user Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/Chemical, Energy, Food & Beverage, and Marine sectors utilizing a solution selling approach. Other areas of focus will include OEM, Distribution, Projects, and 3rd party service providers.
It’s expected that the Area Sales Manager will visit customers in person and virtually 4 days per week by appointment, with time typically split 50% managing existing Key Accounts and 50% New Business/Customer Development. There will be times where it will be necessary to attend meetings and training in any of Klinger facilities in the UK and Europe.
Salary
Up to £55,000.00 per annum
Role Responsibilities
* Maintain, develop and grow existing Key Accounts for the assigned territory.
* Be the key point of contact for Middlesbrough Service Centre, ensuring commercial activities are coordinated and targeted.
* Take ownership and management of opportunities and quote follow-up processes for your area.
* Use the company CRM system for all appointments, activities, and customer reports while keeping the records up to date.
* Develop new accounts to increase market share in all strategically important market segments.
* Cross-sell products & services in the Klinger portfolio, promoting the Klinger complete product-service solution.
* Organize all activities to maximize sales development time and communication with existing and potential customers.
* Develop business opportunities and revenue streams through various routes to market.
* Understand the business, market, future development plans, and maintenance schedules of potential and existing accounts.
* Represent Klinger UK and its company culture in a professional, credible, and sincere manner.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience within a customer-facing or specific product sales role (Essential).
* Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
* Ability to identify key stakeholders and build good relationships quickly.
* Solutions-based sales driven.
* Display excellent and proactive customer service skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience within Oil and Gas/Chemical industries (Desirable).
