An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a male student in an alternative provision setting. Many of the students have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place and may display challenging behaviors. This role is crucial in helping the student feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide focused 1:1 support to a male student, adapting strategies to meet their specific needs. Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. Manage challenging behaviors effectively, using de-escalation techniques and fostering a sense of security. Support the student in achieving academic and personal goals in line with their EHCP. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
