Associate/Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)
As a growing company, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our experienced MEP team based at our offices in Gateshead or Nottingham.
You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working in a design capacity with good working knowledge of building services installations. Working as part of a team, you will be confident dealing with clients and leading MEP project work. You will work closely with other engineering teams to deliver energy-efficient and reliable building systems, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, plan, and manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
* Perform detailed calculations and simulations to support system design and efficiency.
* Develop and review mechanical specifications and drawings for compliance with project requirements.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and on-site teams.
* Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in client meetings to review project status, address concerns, and ensure project requirements are met.
* Contribute to the commissioning and handover process of mechanical systems.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Having an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND).
* Significant experience within a mechanical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background.
* To have achieved or be working towards IEng or CEng status.
* Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and sustainability practices.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and team members.
* Ability to foster long-term productive working relationships.
