A specialist equipment hire company for global maritime and industrial sectors is seeking a Project Manager to maintain and improve the company’s field operational performance, productivity, client relationships, and team cohesion. The Project Manager will have previous experience in a similar operations management role, demonstrate a track record of delivering results, and ensure the team is well-supported. In addition, the Project Manager will possess excellent relationship-building skills when dealing with customers from the UK and abroad, strong organisational skills, and a technical mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project manage the company’s field operations.
2. Ensure customer service requirements are met in full.
3. Ensure and improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of field operations.
4. Manage field staff and oversee team welfare in relation to field operations including HSE and coordinating annual leave.
5. Manage customer service.
6. Oversee export control compliance.
7. Oversee equipment selection & preparation.
8. Cover out-of-hours staff movement or transport via company phone (one week in three rota).
9. Manage the operations administrator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Previous experience as a Project Manager or in a similar managerial role.
2. Excellent people management, customer service, organisation, and project management skills.
3. Professional, technically minded, and possesses proven leadership ability.
Desirable:
1. Offshore or hire-based experience.
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 DOE
