Our Client was established in 1982 and is a recognised leader for bespoke retail display and interior solutions. We are a people-focused Investors’ in People Platinum organisation.
Our client specialises in design and fulfilment of bespoke display and interior solutions for leading brands and retailers, providing a complete end-to-end service.
They are now looking for an Operations Coordinator to join their team in Oldham.
Summary of the role
To support the Group Operations team, who oversee all order processing, procurement, estimating, production planning, and manufacturing.
The Operations Coordinator role is an essential link between the Operations, Sales, and Design teams to manage and communicate order dates, changes, and progress throughout the production process.
Reporting to the Purchasing and Estimating Manager.
Summary of responsibilities
1. Answering incoming telephone calls
2. Greeting visitors (welcoming and providing refreshments)
3. Maintaining and updating production schedule, organising the Daily Scheduling Meetings (DSM) to coordinate order planning and scheduling with the Sales, Design, and Operations teams. Monitor and report agreed manufacturing design end dates and free issue items or artwork from customers. Liaise and feedback delivery dates and status to account managers (and customer’s if required).
4. Check that drawings for new Sales Orders are in the production folder and verify revision versions are consistent with sales order.
5. Obtain the most competitive prices for raw materials and fixings and place Purchase Orders with suppliers ensuring costs are equal or less than the estimated value.
6. Progress chase purchases, design, and free issue items.
7. Run delivery notes.
8. Create labels to identify items and delivery information.
9. Organise suitable transport and ensure that delivery points have suitable offloading capabilities.
10. Liaise with installers, raising POs, coordinate equipment arrival/delivery and install dates.
11. Complete month-end reports.
12. Any other duties required to support the Operations department and others.
