Your role in elevating the East Midlands
As Finance Business Partner you’ll manage the Business Partner delivery of a designated finance function ensuring requirements are met by the provision of accurate financial information in accordance with statutory requirements.
You’ll also provide expert advice and support to a range of stakeholders in a finance service area ensuring value for money and protection of public funds.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as lead expert in specialised work areas, understanding stakeholder and organisational impact.
* Contributing to finance service development, designing and delivering specialist training to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
* Monitoring and reviewing systems and processes for efficiency and best value, promoting continuous improvement.
* Preparing, planning, and monitoring revenue and capital budgets of a designated service area for inclusion in the future service and organisational planning.
* Compiling management information and financial reports, providing clear guidance.
* Assisting in preparing bids for external funding and grant claims.
* Ensuring timely completion of mandatory reporting requirements.
* Interpreting legislation and regulation to ensure compliance, providing expert advice and developing accessible procedures.
* Managing and supporting projects, ensuring accurate financial data for forecasting and budget mapping.
Your profile:
* With a full CCAB qualification and evidence of Continuing Professional Development, you’ll have substantial operational experience in finance and budgetary setting of a large and complex organisation.
* Extensive experience in managing and motivating staff to meet organisational goals.
* Providing financial services, including advice, planning, and accounting to various customers.
* Experience of designing and providing detailed management information for performance management.
* The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems and issues.
* Interpreting and applying legislation and financial regulations.
* Preparing budgets and forecasts, including final account entries for closedown.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver specialist training to finance and organisational colleagues.
* Ability to work to and enforce deadlines.
* Skilled in handling conflicting and changing demands, using effective negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills to achieve outcomes.
* Ability to build relationships, motivate, guide, coach and influence others.
