About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Cloud Support and Delivery Team Leader to take ownership of a high-performing team, supporting and delivering cloud infrastructure in Azure, through modern DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of IT Cloud professionals, ensuring they have clarity on expectations and opportunities to grow and thrive. You'll oversee the delivery and support of cloud infrastructure services using CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on service quality, resilience, and alignment to IT standards. You'll work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, maintaining open and effective communication to ensure a shared understanding of objectives and progress. Managing performance against KPIs and SLAs, you’ll ensure that the services delivered are robust, timely, and of high quality.
You’ll also play a key role in ensuring compliance with corporate processes and IT governance standards, while promoting continuous improvement and innovation across your area. Resource planning and utilisation will be central to your remit, as will identifying and managing risks in line with NFU Mutual’s Group Risk Strategy. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure seamless delivery, and will also take ownership of short-term projects and initiatives as required by the Cloud Support and Delivery Manager.
About you
Success in this role relies on a strong ability to organise and prioritise effectively, ensuring that tasks and projects are delivered smoothly and on time. As a team leader, you’ll be expected to guide, motivate, and support others—fostering a positive and productive environment through empathetic leadership. Clear and confident communication is essential, allowing you to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, provide direction, and build trust across the team.
* Demonstrable experience in leading teams deploying infrastructure via CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure.
* Experience working in an Agile way and using the SCRUM framework.
* Knowledge of ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management.
* An empathetic, collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and delivering measurable results.
* Experience of leading a team in a Hybrid environment – desirable.
Internally this role is known as IT Team Leader.
