Description
Boardley & Roberts Ltd specializes in repairs/renewals of all types of electrical rotating machinery. They are currently looking for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering apprentice to join and learn within their team.
Main Duties:
* Dismantling and repairing of AC & DC rotating machinery, including electric motors, pumps, and fan units.
* Attending site as part of a team to carry out removals and refits.
* Repairs and renewals of all electrical rotating machinery, including electric motors, pumps, fan assemblies, AHUs, and site maintenance.
* Day-to-day contact: Gavin Whitehouse (workshop coordinator).
Entry Requirements:
* GCSE maths and English at grades 5 or above - Essential.
* Either electrical or mechanical knowledge would be preferred but not essential.
Training to be Provided:
* The learner will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
* Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to Consider:
Good rates of pay once qualified. Early starts and late finishes on occasion (flexibility required). Lots of in-house ‘on the job’ training. Stable company now past one hundred years of trading.

Hours per week: 40
Working week: Monday - Friday, between 8am and 5pm
