We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Services Officer within the Procurement Department. The role will be full time and permanent.
The Procurement department is the central team responsible for the purchasing of goods and services on behalf of the Trust. The Procurement team set the policies and procedures under which goods and services should be purchased.
The department is part of the Finance Directorate, but works closely across all Directorates and Departments throughout the Trust.
You will support the Procurement Team in providing an effective and professional procurement service that delivers on-going cost efficiencies/benefits to the Trust in line with departmental objectives.
The role is primarily based at Maidstone Hospital, you may however be required to work across site or change base as the service requires.

Maidstone Hospital provides a wide range of complex and routine surgical and medical services and has the latest in diagnostic facilities. It is also home to the main base of Kent Oncology Centre, which provides complex radiotherapy and chemotherapy for patients throughout Kent and North East Sussex.
The role includes the delivery of the transactional procurement and lower value sourcing service, handling of electronic requisitions and ensuring best value is achieved. You'll negotiate short-term pricing agreements with suppliers and provide first line support to end-users of our eProcurement system
To develop and maintain an efficient procurement service to stakeholders. Ensure policies and operational practices comply with the Trust SFI’s, EU legislation and other statutory requirements and that they provide effective procurement of all categories of services and commodities. To develop an excellent working relationship with all clinical and corporate stakeholders and to ensure that the service provided to internal customers is of a high standard.
