About the job
In this role, you will be part of the innovative Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Team, dedicated to championing the development of the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint rollout on-street, in council car parks, and throughout the West Sussex County Council fleet.
Any given day can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:
1. Being the essential contact point for a range of issues relating to the installation and commissioning of Electric Vehicle Chargepoints (EVCPs).
2. Assisting the Programme Manager and other members of the team with day-to-day activities, including supporting consultations, internal and external stakeholder engagement and dealing with public enquiries.
3. Keeping records current, providing progress reports as necessary to ensure that all project information is gathered, maintained, and archived in accordance with established project management procedures.
4. Writing and presenting various correspondence and reports such as responding to customers, maintaining databases and preparing information for publication.
The role may occasionally require walked site visits and attending outdoor events, which may occur during inclement weather, as well as a requirement to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

We would love to hear from you if you have
5. A level, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable equivalent comparable experience.
6. An understanding of the Council’s strategies on Electric Vehicles, Climate Change and transport decarbonisation.
7. Strong communication skills, with the capacity to confident build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Experience in project management processes, procedures, and policies related to working within a high-demand project management and programme delivery environment.
