ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - BAND 4
22.3 hours per week
Base Lochgilphead with option of hybrid working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, creative and dynamic individual to join Argyll and Bute HSCP in the role of Assistant Management Accountant.
Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will assist with the delivery of a professional management accounting service across a number of services including Oban, Lorn & the Isles, Mid Argyll, Kintyre & Islay, and Estates. You will provide support in all aspects of financial management including monthly reporting, costings and analysis, and budget planning working alongside the Management Accountant and the senior Finance team.
You will work closely with professionals across a range of disciplines who are committed to making a difference, learn how a complex organization works, add value to key health services, and build a range of transferable skills.
This post is ideally suited to recent graduates who hold an HNC, HND, or degree, or to candidates who have equivalent relevant work experience and have a desire to work in Financial Management within a complex organization and can demonstrate the following essential attributes:
* Good analytical skills
* Proficient in the use of IT systems including MS365
* Good planning, organization, and time management skills.
Training opportunities and support to gain a recognized accountancy qualification are available to successful candidates.
You may occasionally be required to travel between various work locations within the Argyll and Bute Locality to meet the operational requirements of the Service, so a full driving license is essential.
