Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic law firm? We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate HR Advisor to join our client, one of the leading law firms in the East Midlands, with offices located across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. In this full-time, generalist position, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the expanding business. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day management of HR services, while also contributing to the longer-term development of the function. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews, and managing agency relationships to deliver a positive candidate experience Conducting new starter inductions Managing and reporting on absence, ensuring policies are followed and supporting managers with long-term absences, including working with Occupational Health consultants when needed Coaching and advising managers on employee relations across the employee lifecycle Conducting exit interviews and maintaining HR policy documents Supporting performance management processes Leading recruitment activities, managing internal and external job postings, liaising with agency partners, and attending interviews Assisting with the training strategy by researching courses and occasionally facilitating training sessions Advising on employment law and best practices Handling employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, and redundancies Producing monthly HR reports and metrics to measure performance and impact Within this position, you’ll also be: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR, with exposure to recruitment processes Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its practical applications Proven experience managing a range of generalist HR responsibilities Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to influence and coach managers effectively Excellent stakeholder management abilities A full driving licence and access to a car, as regular travel to all our office locations across the East Midlands is required Proficiency in IT, including experience using Microsoft Office packages Salary, Working Hours & Benefits Salary is £38,0000 – £44,000 per annum Generous holiday entitlement, including your birthday off and office closure over the Christmas period Genuine career development opportunities within a growing firm that values work-life balance Company events Hybrid working options available after the probationary period With on-site parking and excellent transport links Talk Staff Recruitment is an established division of Talk Staff Group and works with companies throughout the East Midlands and UK with roles including many areas such as: Accountancy & Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Contact Centre and Office Support.
