The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable., The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. Theatre documentation is recorded electronically, so IT skills are essential.
This post will involve caring for patients within the theatre department, who will undergo a range of surgical procedures from various specialities, and you will be expected to manage patients care throughout the perioperative stage.

As with all theatre environments, each day with us has its own special demands as we have a variety of theatre activity on any given day so we are looking for individuals who are flexible, innovative, highly motivated with great people skills who wants to learn and develop within a challenging and exciting area of patient care. Continuing professional development is encouraged and you will be expected to promote and participate actively in education, research, clinical governance, audit and guidelines. You will be encouraged to take part in the wide range of educational and training opportunities within the health board.
If you are a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, with current UK professional registration relevant for the post then we'd love to hear from you. We would welcome applicants with Theatre experience or for those looking for a new challenge. Applicants who do not have previous theatre experience will undergo a full training and support programme to fully equip our staff with the skills they require., This is a physically and mentally demanding role, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to thrive within a dynamic, fast paced service that puts patient care at the heart of what we do.
