THE ROLE
To support all aspects of the Facilities department whilst achieving business and departmental goals/objectives through continuous improvement as part of a team-based culture.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Provide a service measured against departmental responsibilities, objectives and KPI’s (key performance indicators).
* Assist with the development and implementation of an effective planned maintenance programme in line with manufacturer’s recommendations.
* Efficiently use resources when carrying out routine breakdown & maintenance.
* Provide an effective fault response service whilst on shift in line with business requirements.
* Assist the facilities manager to ensure the recommended and additional spares/equipment/tools are available when required in a stores environment, ensuring used parts, consumables, etc. are recorded in line with the departmental control and purchase system.
* Rectify equipment faults under facilities remit and report where external resources are required.
* Ensure all services are available/maintained in the allotted time scales.
WHO YOU ARE
* Basic mechanical engineering skills. (Qualifications and course certificates preferred).
* Proven building maintenance/facilities skills. (Qualifications and course certificates preferred).
* Good quality DIY skills.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Good personal presentation.
* Current FLT licence. (Preferred but can be trained).
* Current Cherry picker/Scissor lift licence. (Preferred but can be trained).
* Health and Safety Appreciation.
* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
* Flexible approach to working hours, with an ability to manage workload within a team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
