Overview
The company's in-house translation team is seeking a skilled translator to provide high-quality translations for internal clients across various departments. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's globalisation efforts and communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary language expert for internal clients, facilitating all translation-related requests
* Develop tone and language style guides for each market serviced
* Establish and maintain terminology bases for target languages
* Translate complex content types, including financial, marketing, legal, and educational materials, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Review and edit translated material produced by in-house colleagues and external vendors, ensuring accuracy and quality
* Excel in quality management and proofreading, adhering to strict deadlines
* Ad-hoc projects may be assigned by management
Requirements
* Native Japanese speaker with fluency in English required
* Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or related field; professional certification an asset
* Minimum 2 years of experience in translation, editing, or content production
* Experience in finance and capital markets advantageous
* Knowledge of CAT tools, TMS technology, and translation practices beneficial
* Exceptional editing skills, ensuring clarity, grammar, spelling, consistency, and accuracy with minimal revisions needed
* Ability to manage complexity and coordinate across departments under tight timelines
