We are seeking an outstanding ‘Specialist Personal Tutor’ who has experience of working with and supporting students both in and out of the classroom to join our highly effective ‘Heads of Studies’ team. You will thrive on working in a fast-paced, energetic and exciting environment striving to ensure the very best outcomes for our students.
The primary focus of this role is to guide and support students to successfully achieve beyond their Minimum Expected Grades and to embed a culture of respect, kindness and ambition.
The successful candidate will draw on past experiences to identify progression routes, employability opportunities and to help students to develop softer skills which will enhance their opportunities and skill set. They will also motivate and support our students and closely monitor any welfare concerns, escalating where necessary.
As part of the role, you will be delivering bespoke in-class and online Tutorials to a range of different students. You will embed best practices in your teaching and focus on current trends which are prevalent in everyday life. During Tutorial sessions, you will be expected to build a strong rapport with students and develop a broader understanding of their individual requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of Studies on site, you should also have the confidence to liaise and work with Heads of Department and all teaching colleagues.
Strong communication skills, accurate recording of information and providing effective feedback are areas which are paramount to the role. It is important that the successful candidate feels comfortable working both solely and within a wider team.
