Job summary We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic, supportive, and friendly team in the Clinical Biochemistry Department at Epsom and St Helier hospitals. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated State Registered Biomedical Scientists to join the well-established team in this busy UKAS Accredited pathology department. Where Biomedical scientists within the department work on the Abbott Alinity Chemistry and Immunoassay analysers. In addition, with suitable training, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to work with other specialist analysers including the Waters TQD and Agilent HPLC. The post is for 37.5 hours per week, primarily based at St Helier Hospital; however rotation across other sites within SWLP may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the 24 hour/seven day service after a period of suitable training. Main duties of the job We are currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Band 6 BMS to join the Clinical Blood Sciences (CBS) team. Working primarily in the Automated Biochemistry Department, the successful candidate may also be required to work across the other specialist sections in biochemistry, following suitable training.
