The role:
* Oversee end-to-end procurement of ingredients for UK sites, ensuring cost efficiency and supply chain optimisation.
* Develop and implement category management strategies tailored to commodity buying.
* Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive value engineering and innovation.
* Maintain supplier relationships, ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries and optimal risk management.
* Ensure accurate reporting of procurement activities, including buying variances and supplier performance.
Ideal candidate:
* Must hard experience in food manufacturing and commodity procurement.
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
* Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.
* Work cross-functionally with planning, manufacturing, and technical teams to align procurement with operational needs.
