First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team in Leatherhead, Surrey. The successful candidate will be key in supporting the responsible person for the provision of a proactive quality assurance service to the executive, managers, employees and other stakeholders of my client enabling the Company to discharge its statutory and non-statutory obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To act as deputy to the organisation’s lead competent person for gas compliance.
2. To assist in ensuring the organisation complies with current gas legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision.
3. To keep abreast of changes to relevant legislation using links with professional bodies, publications and deputising at relevant meetings.
4. Advise on any faults in respect of gas safety/quality and on action required.
5. Audit completed LGSR’s, identify defects and advise on required remedial measures.
6. To assist in the management of the company ACS training centre, train candidates, deal with all associated documentation and maintain centre compliance with national awarding body.
7. Schedule, coordinate and maintain details for all in-house ACS Renewals 6 months prior to their renewal.
8. Schedule, coordinate and maintain details for all essential technical qualifications that require periodic renewal using external approved training providers/colleges.
9. To monitor, evaluate and review gas policy and practice, make recommendations, and assist with the implementation of new policies and procedures as required.
10. Liaise between management and staff on all matters relating to gas to ensure consistent application and understanding of policies and procedures.
11. To assist in the identification of gas training needs for employees and develop and deliver training as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
12. ACS qualifications – minimum of CCN1, CEN1, CENWAT & CKR1.
13. Minimum 10 years’ time served within Domestic Gas.
14. Previous experience in ISO focused role.
15. Previous supervisory experience.
16. Full driving licence.
17. Excellent communication skills.
18. Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
19. Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks when required .
20. Able to work alone and within a team.
21. Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your role.
22. Advanced MS Excel Skills inclusive of Macros, V Look-up and Pivot Tables.
Desirable:
23. IOSH Managing Safely.
24. Fire Warden training achievement.
25. First Aid at Work (1 or 3-Day) training achievement.
26. Electrical fault-finding experience.
