This post sits in the Non- Clinical Procurement team and is primarily based at the Manor Hospital site, reporting to the Deputy Director of Procurement. The role is directly responsible for a portfolio of contracts but primarily for managing, supporting and guiding the work of 2 staff based at the Manor Hospital site, each with their own contract portfolios. Reporting in to the Deputy Director of Procurement., the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager will be a vital member of the NMBC Senior Management team. Managing a portfolio of non -clinical contracts directly, the key function is the strong and effective management, support and direction of a team of 2 staff, each responsible for the timely procurement of all requirements and non- clinical contracts (over £10k) for the Medical, Surgical & Network Services Divisions at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a demanding role, integral in supporting the the delivery of strategic objectives of all Trusts represented, exploring and delivering collaborative medical and clinical opportunities with other Trusts in the group, and to contribute to delivering savings targets. The role will support the local Procurement strategy, maximize value for money, minimising operational/commercial risk whilst ensuring compliance with EU Procurement Legislation, UK Law and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions, taking the lead on all medical and clinical contracts/procurements, & lead on specific projects on behalf of the Deputy Director of Procurement, deputising as required.
