Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting one of Scotland's leading Accountancy Firms with the appointment of an Audit Assistant Manager in Glasgow.

They are an independent accountancy firm with a large presence throughout Scotland providing a full range of services including internal and external audit, payroll outsourcing, business support, etc. to small – medium sized companies across various industry sectors.
The Role
* Directly managing a portfolio of clients.
* Maintaining direct communication with all clients and providing regular reports to the partner.
* Reviewing audit assignments and offering technical guidance to clients when needed.
* Supervising and guiding the execution of audit assignments.
* Actively managing fees and work in progress (WIP) to ensure financial stability and growth.
* Managing, coaching, and training audit team members.
* Supporting the recruitment process, including the annual graduate intake.
* Actively participating in the annual appraisal process.
* Contributing to the development of the department through activities such as producing tender documents.
* Assisting in the acquisition of new clients and expanding the client base, with a particular focus on the owner-managed sector.
* Engaging in other pertinent business development tasks as required.
Experience
* Maintain a keen awareness of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs) and consistently stay technically up to date.
* Possess a track record of successfully engaging in business development activities.
* Strong people management skills are essential to effectively lead and oversee teams within the organization.
* Exhibit confident and professional communication skills when interacting with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Professional qualification, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
