The Role
To provide operational support to the Clinical Director of NHS Lanarkshire’s Public Dental Service by developing new and maintaining/improving existing systems; recording and reporting systems and initiating appropriate actions to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient services for the Public Dental Service across Lanarkshire.

12. To be able to cope independently and competently with a designated as well as self-generated workload but remain part of the wider team
13. Be flexible in terms of working hours, as required
14. Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence and access to a car
15. Ability to travel across NHS Lanarkshire sites
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
1. Educated to Diploma Level or relevant experience
2. Educated to a Degree level
3. Willing to undertake any training that may be necessary to carry out the work effectively and efficiently
4. Additional qualifications in using IT systems
5. Previous ICT support experience within an NHS environment including use of systems eg. HIC
6. Working with computerised clinical & practice management software, experience of CS R4 Clinical
7. Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office based products
8. Knowledge of current legislation, guidelines and policies relevant to role eg. GDPR
9. Knowledge and understanding of both ICT Desktop Hardware and Software
10. Knowledge of the variety of patient groups and environments involved in Public Dental Service delivery eg. Education, nursery, schools, NHS
11. Proven ability as an effective communicator through a range of mediums

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the Public Dental Service within Coathill Hospital.
