Job summary We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, dynamic senior midwife who will provide leadership, guidance and expertise within the wider multi-professional team for maternity services at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for fetal surveillance and intrapartum risk assessment. This will include putting in place strategies and frameworks that ensure the Maternity service meets all Health Board and national standards. Main duties of the job The person appointed to this role will work collaboratively with the Head of Midwifery and other Health Board leads as well as regional/national forums to share best practice and build a supportive network. Internally, they will promote, through leadership modelling, a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure best practice in the delivery of patient care, ensuring systems support improvements in clinical quality and are aligned to Health Board processes and standards. They will provide clinically credible, visible and compassionate leadership across the maternity service within the Princess of Wales Hospital site.
