Job Description:
The Senior Health and Safety Officer will provide general assistance and support to the Office, Site, Fabrication Teams and HSE Manager, ensuring safe practice and environmental compliance in a safe and healthy environment. Liaising with the HSE Officer, Staff, Principal Contractors, Clients, and partners to ensure the correct policies are being followed, including attendance on any site H&S walks and daily briefs.
With their Head Office based in Banbridge, our client specializes in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland and the UK. They are looking to integrate an HSE Officer to support GB site operations. This post is a permanent contract and offers an amazing opportunity for a candidate who wants to work with a progressive and dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide HSE advice and support for the entire company workforce, subcontracted labour, other site workers, and members of the public.
* Lead HSE Officers and Administrators in their duties and development.
* Create and maintain safe systems of work (RAMS etc).
* Complete and maintain Construction, Workshop & Equipment HSE inspections and records.
* Complete incident investigations and identify and implement improvement measures.
* Plan, review, and record Emergency preparedness across all sites.
* NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
* Proven HSE experience for a minimum of 3 years.
* Experience of working in construction and M&E environments.
* Experience of undertaking health and safety audits and creating RAMS for complex works.
* Knowledge of health and safety aspects, including legislation and technical standards.
* Accident and incident investigation experience.
* Ability to travel to other sites across Ireland and the UK.
* Full UK Driving license.
* Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards it.
* NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it.
* ISO Knowledge (45001, 9001, 14001).
* Appointed person Qualification.
* Train the Trainer Qualification.
