They are currently looking to strengthen the commercial team with a hands-on Quantity Surveyor. Salary to £45k | Annual Bonus | Company Car or Allowance | Stakeholder Pension | Life Assurance | 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Key Essentials: Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial aspects of utility capital projects under NEC3 form of contract Working with the operations team, you will be involved in monitoring works progress and capturing any changes needed Overseeing the production of schedules of rates Preparation and submission of CVR's; ensuring timely preparation and agreement of changes to avoid WIP and maximising cash-flow ensuring payments are received within allocated time-scales Ensure that Early Warnings & Compensation Events are submitted Overseeing and ensuring that any project variations are captured Produce cash-flow forecasts and keep updated and report on variances Help ensure business targets are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised You will be required to manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts including preparing payment certificates Surveying and pricing completed projects It will be your responsibility to ensure that accurate records are kept and full entitlement under the contract is achieved Requirements: Minimum of 3 year's experience as a Quantity Surveyor on utility projects under NEC forms of contract You should ideally be professionally qualified in Civil Engineering / QS or hold relevant experience You should be proficient in Microsoft Office with a particular strength using Excel qs quantitysurveyor nec telecom power gas water civils underground excavation splice joint nrswa streetwork commercial forecast cvr cemar ewn compensationevents variations nec3 nec4
