Position: Weekend Despatch Administrator – Weekends
Location: Melton (near Hull) HU14 3HJ
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Shift Pattern: Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-6pm
Are you looking for a part-time weekend role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Heron Foods is seeking a motivated and
organised individual to join our team at the Melton Distribution Centre as a Shop Order Processing (SOP) Coordinator. This
critical role involves ensuring our stores receive their orders accurately and on time, contributing to the continued success of
our logistics operations.
As part of our team, you’ll work independently to coordinate order processing and dispatch, making sure all deliveries go
smoothly. Due to our location and limited public transport options, you will need your own transport for this role.

Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the Shop Order Processing during weekend shifts, including dispatching orders and managing the order queue.
* Issue and manage loading tickets, create dispatch notes, and allocate trucks/trailers for deliveries.
* Handle logistical challenges, including rerouting deliveries and addressing vehicle maintenance issues.
* Communicate effectively with stores regarding delivery schedules and address any concerns or changes.
* Provide support to the loading and picking operations as needed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
* Proficient in IT, with a solid understanding of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Experience in an administrative, data entry, or logistics role is beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Own transport is essential due to our location and limited public transport options for weekend shifts.
