Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teaching assistant or graduate with experience supporting students with additional needs, for a secondary school in Nantwich!
This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, paying up to £100 a day. Temporary with the potential for permanent.
The Role:
1. Support students within the classroom, providing tailored guidance and encouragement.
2. Supporting small groups and working one-to-one with students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs, and ADHD.
3. Collaborate with teachers to deliver small group instruction.
4. Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
5. Help students build confidence and a passion for learning.
Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure the support they deliver is of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches.
Requirements:
6. Previous children-based work experience - Experience in roles such as a Sports or Activities Coach is often highly transferable experience for supporting behavioural issues
7. Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or happy to apply for a new one)
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
10. Commitment to supporting student development and well-being
11. Understanding of the UK Schools curriculum
