Reporting to the Head of Housekeeping, the main job duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Support the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
2. Play a key role in the induction and training of new and existing team members.
3. Mentor new and existing team members around company culture.
4. Ensure efficient use of products and materials by all team members, including PPE, and follow sustainability guidelines.
5. Create an atmosphere of continual improvement.
6. Follow the company brand tenets.
7. Be a team player, both within your department and across the resort as a whole.
8. Inform team members of any relevant news, including but not limited to scores and survey feedback.
In the absence of the Head of Housekeeping:
1. Assign accommodations to each team member.
2. Co-ordinate times and tasks.
Qualifications, skills and experience required to fulfil the role include:
1. Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role is advantageous.
2. The ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Must be computer literate.
5. Motivational and negotiation skills would be advantageous.
6. The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
7. Have a ‘can do’ and positive approach.
The role demands 40 hours of work per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays, on a rotating shift basis. Own transport is required due to the location of the resort.
