OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES MANAGER | Circa £38,400 per annum 12% bonus An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outdoor Activity Manager to lead this exciting part of our operation. As the Outdoor Activity Manager you will ensure the smooth running of the Outdoor Activity Centre and its associated activities including but not exclusively: Target and Field Archery, Laser Shooting, Segways and Laser Combat. The Outdoor Activity Manager is responsible for maintaining a high level of guest care and setting high standards in building management whilst also motivating and developing team members. Duties include but are not limited to the following: To ensure the smooth running and the overall management of day to day operations of the Outdoor Activity Centre To drive the commercial management of the Outdoor Activity Centre through achievements of financial targets, maximising demand and controlling costs To maximise opportunities through effective capacity / demand management working closely with the Village Capacity Manager to drive occupancy of the activity programme Develop and promote the Outdoor Activity Centre and associated facilities Maintain optimum staffing levels, adhering to budget / forecast guidelines To plan and implement staff rotas, holidays and absence, and control all areas of expenditure, purchasing and stock controls to ensure net profit targets are achieved Manage and recruit all staff effectively, in order to ensure staff are promoting a professional image through attendance, attitude and appearance Actively develop and monitor an effective approved training program for all staff to include the induction of new staff and retraining of existing staff Collate all financial data for period review for the Leisure Services Manager ensuring accurate analysis of achievements and providing relevant recommendations and ideas to improve the performance of the department for future periods Responsibilities include managing and controlling revenue and financial reporting, staff management and activity scheduling You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 160hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
