Cover Supervisor

Salary: Earn up to £550 per week
About the Role:
Connex Education is currently working closely with a great school based in Nottingham who are seeking regular support from Cover Supervisors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to experience working across different departments within the school providing relief cover in the place of the class teacher. The work will always be provided for you by the qualified teacher; you will be responsible for engaging young people in learning, behaviour management, and ensuring completion of the tasks left.

Assignment Details:
For the Cover Supervisor role, we have staggered start dates; you are able to start immediately or later on in the school year. Once employed, there will be opportunities for the rest of the academic year and into the 2025/2026 academic year also; meaning you will have consistent work on offer during term time. This school can provide flexibility in terms of working patterns to match your lifestyle.

Person Specification:
* Have some experience working with young people in either a school setting or a similar environment (e.g., NCS, sports coaching, etc.)
* Be confident in your ability to lead a class of children aged 11-16 years.
* Be able to work well with challenging behaviour.
* Hold strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
* Punctual and organised
* Willing to undergo continual professional training.
* Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment
* Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
* Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can-do attitude’ and a good sense of humour.
