Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET days) 8:00am-4:00pm on Mon-Thurs with a 3:30pm finish on Friday

The Biology Technician is an integral member of the team coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities and providing assistance and advice in the practical needs of the curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and technical staff outside of the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic department in a successful oversubscribed selective school for boys.
About you
The successful candidate will be highly organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task, managing a varied and busy workload with a positive outlook and good attention to detail. You will possess a good knowledge of Health and Safety practices of laboratory equipment and preparation techniques.
You are a reliable team player who is willing to learn new skills, support the other technicians and make a full contribution to the department. Attainment of a Biology A Level qualification is essential alongside a minimum of English Language ‘O’ level or GCSE (grade C/ 5 or above) or equivalent certificate. While not essential, experience of working in a laboratory is desirable.
