Electrical Project Manager Required
£65,000 - £85,000 + Travel & Bonuses
We are currently working with one of the leading M&E Contractors in London with a turnover currently sitting around the £200m mark. With a flagship project based in Canary Wharf, they are looking for an Electrical Project Manager for around 2-3 years worth of work with the potential to go on beyond this.
Experience working within the commercial fit-out sector is required, and ideal experience would be managing packages and subcontractors up to £20m electrically.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. As Electrical Project Manager, you will be working with Sub-contractors and communicating expectations in respect of site safety and project scope.
2. Developing clear and achievable objectives relating to budget, manpower, materials, scheduling, programme and implementation of projects before reporting to Lead Project Manager.
3. Managing and leading all Electrical construction aspects from initial project brief through to project handover.
4. The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for planning of project strategy working with clients and colleagues.
5. Assigning work to personnel based on current demands and creating a working environment oriented to trust, performance and teamwork.
6. Checking and preparing site reports and communication as required to clients.
7. Providing any insight and/or implementing any measures to mitigate project cost through the correct procurement of materials or Contractors.
8. Managing various projects concurrently; ensuring successful completion of each one according to budget, timescale, and client specification.
9. At all times as Electrical Project Manager, you will be ensuring that all works are in line with Health and Safety protocol and using required escalation channels.
10. Complying with quality construction standards and undertaking preventative planning measures to minimise project impact.
Requirements:
1. An appropriate Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card.
2. Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme (SSTS) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
3. Proven track record in the industry.
4. Sound working knowledge of Health & Safety, delivering projects and managing staff, materials and budgets.
