Description Logistics Coordinator We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Northern Ireland. As a Logistics Coordinator, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services within a company's supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries and high levels of customer satisfaction. This dynamic position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of transportation, inventory management, and coordination with various stakeholders. Your primary responsibility is to optimize logistical processes, minimize costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective service. Monitor inventory levels, process orders, and manage stock control. Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and customers to ensure seamless communication and problem resolution. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all logistics activities. Complete the custom procedures with total accuracy ensuring that deadlines are met both internally and those defined by customers. Obtain and communicate internally and externally all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customers needs are met. Planning and arrangement of international consignments according to engineer instructions and requirements. Receiving of pre-alerts and shipping documentation. Manage customer issues and the ability to deal with minor issues, disputes or complaints. Ensure documentation is up to date, loaded correctly and make Team Leaders aware of any issues that may arise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Track and report on logistics performance, including delivery times, cost analysis, and customer satisfaction. Identify areas for improvement within the logistics process and recommend solutions. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Desireable criteria, 3 months customs / imports experience Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook, and other software tools. Update the shipping Log Requirements (SLR) system, tracking the status of shipments from planning through to delivery. Experience in understanding incoterms and associated freight rates calculations and profiles. Ability to work independently as well as the ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects. Must have good written and verbal communication abilities as well as good organisational and time management skills. Be a team player and have the ability to work with multiple departments and teams. Being flexible and proactive, with excellent attention to detail.
