As our new Financial Controller, you’ll be accountable for all aspects of finance within the Scott Bader UK, Ireland & Scandinavia businesses including governance and control, functional and business leadership and delivery of results. You will continually raise the quality and focus of financial reporting, business performance and optimise the liquidity position. You’ll develop and lead a high performing team that continually provides a best-in-class level of service to fellow colleagues, customers, suppliers and all other stakeholders. Some of your key responsibilities: You’ll deliver the monthly results for the UK, Ireland & Scandinavia entities in line with/above budget for Profit and Cashflow You will support the local management team by acting as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing appropriate challenge to simplify and standardise operations and optimise performance. You’ll manage the finance teams and structure across the region to ensure an efficient and effective finance operation, delivering exceptional service at an optimised cost. You will be the local the expert on relevant accounting developments and ensure that the Regional CFO, Group Financial Controller and Group CFO are kept informed of all key changes and their application within the region. You’ll continuously seek to improve the quality and visibility of working capital performance measures and work with the team to drive continuous improvement. What do I need to be successful in this role? You hold a recognised formal accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years of FC experience. You’re a real business partner to your peers with a focus on value add to the entities you cover. Experienced in working within a financial accounting department in a manufacturing environment is essential.
