We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with additional needs in our preschool room from 09:00 - 15:00.
Kiddie Capers, Merlin House Nursery provides stimulating and enabling environments for children aged 0-5 years old. Conveniently located near Haywards Heath train station, Kiddie Capers offers ease of access for commuting parents. With opening hours from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, we provide flexibility to accommodate the needs of busy families.

Main Duties
* Provide support to children with additional needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality early years education.
* Collaborate with practitioners to develop and implement individual learning plans that meet the needs of each child.
* Assist in creating a stimulating and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
* Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s development and well-being.
* Monitor and document children’s progress, adapting strategies as necessary to support their growth and learning.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in working with children with autism and/or social and emotional dysregulation.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and how it applies to supporting children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external professionals.
Desirable Requirements:
* Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
