SENCO (One Day a Week) – Alternative Provision School in Solihull Location: Solihull, West Midlands Position: Part-Time (One day per week), Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Our alternative provision school in Solihull is seeking a SENCO for one day a week to support our students with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety. As SENCO, you will work closely with the leadership team and teaching staff to ensure that our students with special educational needs receive the support they require to succeed in school. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced SENCO looking for a flexible, part-time role. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the school’s special educational needs provision, ensuring that students with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety are fully supported. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments. Ensure that the school’s SEN policies and practices are in line with current legislation and best practice. Provide advice and guidance to staff, parents, and external agencies. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within a SEND setting. In-depth knowledge of SEN policies, ADHD, ASD, and anxiety. Ability to lead and support a team of staff in delivering high-quality, inclusive education. Strong organizational and communication skills.
