We are recruiting for a Business & Performance Manager to join our AXA Ireland Claims business.
As the Claims Business & Performance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our claims function, ensuring it meets business targets while continuously enhancing customer experience and financial performance. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to analysing key performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process and data optimisation, and driving initiatives that promote operational excellence.
Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with various departments and the broader organisation to align the claims function with overarching business strategies. You will be responsible for managing costs and supporting the execution and optimisation of our claims strategy. A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory standards is essential to ensure the effectiveness of our claims data and performance.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Lead the Business & Performance team to coordinate and execute key deliverables, ensuring business metrics are met and exceeded.
2. Foster a high-performing team culture focused on customer satisfaction, commercial growth, and innovation throughout customer journeys.
3. Develop and upskill team members while supporting operational managers in leveraging data for effective business management.
4. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to provide insights that identify opportunities and facilitate the execution of plans.
5. Utilise a deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape to translate complex data into actionable strategic recommendations.
6. Uphold AXA values and promote employee development and training within AXA Ireland.
7. Drive business performance improvement initiatives and enhance continuous improvement in claims reporting processes.
8. Ensure compliance of claims handling processes with legal, regulatory, and company standards through effective data management.
9. Represent the Claims Department in Group and Local forums, providing insights on performance trends to assist management.
10. Oversee the delivery of critical reports, including Monthly Claims Management, Executive, and Board Reports, while ensuring timely data delivery across multiple claims areas.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in a General Insurance environment, with proven experience in delivering on reporting, analysing & interpreting data with an ability to effectively provide insights to a variety of audiences.
* Strong analytical mindset and ability to analyse, organise and present data.
* A CIP/APA in Personal lines Insurance or CIP qualified would be beneficial, or a willingness to work towards the same.
* Third level qualification or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* Proficient in all individual MS Office suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI.
* Effectively communicate with various stakeholders on the opportunities and threats.
* Ability to engage confidently with colleagues at all levels, building strong and trusting relationships.
* Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with experience leading initiatives and engaging with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging communications articulating messages to a variety of audiences.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a leadership team and build effective working relationships with managers.
* Ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
