Clerk Of Works/Aftercare Manager
We are a long established regional main contractor working on projects from £500,000.00 to £10 million. We specialise within Education, Leisure, Healthcare, Commercial and Residential. We successfully carryout D&B projects, traditional contracts and work on a large number of partnering frameworks.
Due to an increase in Design and Build contracts we are looking to add to our management team. We are looking for self-motivated, knowledgeable Clerk of Works/Aftercare Manager who will be responsible for inspecting construction work and to manage the aftercare on completed projects, the new position will be report to the managing director and the construction director.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Good knowledge of building and construction
* Be thorough and pay attention to construction detail
* Customer service skills
* Able to use your initiative patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
* Able to analyse quality or performance
* Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
Role Responsibilities
* Inspecting construction work and comparing it with drawings and specifications
* Measuring and quality checking building materials
* Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them
* Monitoring progress and reporting to construction managers/directors, architects and clients
* Keeping detailed records of work
* Referring to plans and taking photographs of work, along with measurements and samples
* Liaising with contractors, engineers and surveyors
* Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met
* Working between an office and construction sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
