Main Job Purpose:
Working for a large Social Housing Provider, to assist the Asset Investment Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a quantity surveying service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder will:
* Support in the delivery of sound cost management and accurate cash flow forecasting on all schemes.
* Work collaboratively with Asset Investment Managers and Building Surveyors:
o Reviewing valuations.
o Issuing payment certificates.
o Checking invoices prior to payment.
o Concluding final accounts.
* Work collaboratively with Head of Asset Strategy, Building Surveyors and Data & Performance Analyst in:
o Creating work packages for external contractors to deliver planned investment programmes and works.
o Ensuring data on completed works is provided in a timely manner to maintain the accuracy of NPH’s asset management database.
o Take an active role in procurement exercises, including production of tender packs and analysis of returned tenders.
o Take an active role in options appraisals to inform investment decisions.

About you:
Educated to a degree, HND / HNC or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying. Member of RICS, CIOB or RIBA would be preferable. Evidence of continuous professional development. Experience of providing cost management of a multi-million pound investment programme.
Excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of different forms of construction. Working knowledge of construction materials. Good commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Experience of serving the needs of multiple, diverse stakeholders. Experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Knowledge and experience of the NEC form of contract. Ability to use main MS Office packages: Word, Excel, Outlook. Proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentations. Delivers on personal targets and objectives. Is focused on personal learning and business improvement. Cares about customers and communities and works to exceed their expectations. Driving licence car required for business use.
