A new opportunity has arisen to join our forward-thinking Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy Team which covers the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath and surrounding area across Bath and North East Somerset. We are a friendly and supportive team of OTs and OTAs and are passionate about the service we offer.
We are looking for a recently/ newly qualified Occupational Therapist to join us and work with people who have long term disabilities, to help them increase their independence and wellbeing at home.
This role will work flexibly across B&NES and our office bases including Cleeve Court in Bath, The Hollies in Midsomer Norton, Keynsham Civic Centre, and from home.
Your role
As a Social Care Occupational Therapist your days will be varied and fulfilling and include:
* Undertaking assessments for adults in their own homes who have complex and long-term physical disabilities, to prevent, reduce or delay the need for care.
* Making recommendations for minor and major home adaptations
* Assessing for standard and specialised equipment to promote independence and safety at home.
* Carrying out assessments for re-housing applications
* Carrying out moving and handling risk assessments and promoting single handed care when possible

About You
* You are a newly or recently qualified occupational therapist at the beginning of your career and hold HCPC registration.
* You are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and the value of occupational therapy to support this.
* You have strong communication skills and organisational skills.
* Due to the nature of the role, being a car driver is essential.
