Over the last few years, we’ve been on a continuous improvement journey and are looking to expand the team. These new roles will allow us to fully enact our threat-led security program, drive further improvements across cyber and support our organisational goal of building a secure and resilient mutual. With a security team over 50 already, these new roles will enhance our capabilities as the threat landscape continues to evolve. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Identity and Access Management Specialist to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at Royal London (RL). As an IAM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organisation's digital assets by managing user access and privileges. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and improve the IAM of RL systems. You will participate in the development and implementation of IAM security policies and procedures, as well as conducting regular security assessments and audits on IAM controls. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving identity and access-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IAM, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, is tenacious and enjoys a challenge. A proactive and self-driven individual, with a keen attention to detail and capable of managing their own workload. We are looking for someone who is able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and can work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Role Outcomes Expertise in IAM across RL’s technology portfolio: including Active Directory, Azure, Databases & Mainframes Apply best practice security concepts across the portfolio to maintain the appropriateness of systems access (least privilege, separation of duties, separation of access, RBAC, Zero Trust, etc) Understand and recommend the suitability of access to security groups, systems and assess security tooling output Strong understanding of the Joiners, Movers, Leaver (JML) process and access recertification process across the business Expertise in SailPoint Identity Now queries, administration and function to support and enhance the JML and recertification processes A point of escalation for the IAM Team; providing support and guidance on technologies and best IAM security practices. Investigate and resolve access-related incidents and issues Strong data analytical skills, understanding the completeness of data and the ability to draw insightful conclusions Confident in creating metrics to provide management with understanding for the IAM control effectiveness Confident in speaking to external auditors and demonstrating IAM controls About you Combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to Identity and Access Management functions Demonstrated knowledge of security control frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, NIST Certification in Information Security relevant areas or equivalent business experience in a matrix Organisation. Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 and SC-300 advantageous; SPLUNK query knowledge would be desirable but not essential High level of personal integrity with the ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential situations Enjoys analysing large data sets using advanced Excel and PowerBI Ability to easily defuse critical situations and manage escalations appropriately Has knowledge of information security principles and practices Enthusiastic and demonstrates the ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information Excellent track record communicating, managing complex projects and influencing others, in a diversified and international matrix organisation.
