Zest Education are looking for a hardworking teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis at a school in Hall Green starting in March 2025. You will be required to work with a student in Year 3 on a 1:1 basis. This position is part-time, working Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am till 3:30pm. This is an ongoing role, giving you the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with a fantastic school. As a teaching assistant at this school, you must follow the schools ethos and ensure that the students are motivated and supported. Main roles and responsibilities:
* Work with the class teacher to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning.
* Provide individualised support to the student.
* Create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
* Build positive relationships with the staff and students.
* Monitor, record and report progress and achievements.
* Promote positive behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies.
* Liaise with parents/guardians and other staff about student progress.
You must have...
* Relevant experience working with children in an education-based setting.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as active listening skills.
* Good knowledge of the national curriculum.
* An enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
* A genuine passion for making a positive impact on student's academic success.
