An established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee production projects from initiation to completion. This role focuses on maintaining efficiency, quality standards, and timely project delivery while managing budgets effectively.
Responsibilities
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, managing communication from order confirmation through to installation and commissioning.
Maintaining strong client relationships through consistent verbal and written updates.
Reviewing sales orders to verify project scope and technical specifications.
Leading and mentoring a small team of Project Coordinators, ensuring smooth workflow and task delegation.
Organising and scheduling production to align with project timelines and monthly revenue goals.
Collaborating with the design team to facilitate customer drawing approvals.
Coordinating with the Projects Technical team to plan build and installation processes.
Developing and managing Gantt charts to track project progress, ensuring key milestones are met and addressing potential delays proactively.
Working with technical, installation, and software teams to optimise resource allocation for timely completion and commissioning.
Arranging and overseeing customer training sessions.
Preparing cost estimates, handling quotations, and managing packaging and logistics.
Requirements
A background in project management with relevant technical expertise (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven leadership skills with experience supervising a small team.
A proactive, goal-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with visual planning systems is an advantage.
Compensation
Salary up to £50k, with potential for a higher offer for highly qualified candidates.
