Futures are working with a well-known manufacturing business based near Wakefield who seek to appoint a Contracts Engineer on a permanent basis. Your main role will be supporting the contracts team, so a background in contracts or projects is highly desirable. You need to have experience in activities such as BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders, and previous involvement in a customer-focused role. You will work closely with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure that customer requirements are met and have frequent interaction with external parties.
Contracts Engineer - Role and Responsibilities
1. Working from BOMs, work instructions, work orders, and sales orders
2. Daily communication with a range of stakeholders (suppliers, customers, and internal teams)
3. Managing customer expectations and keeping them updated and informed on the progress of their order
4. General office administration support
5. Competent with Microsoft Excel and data input
Contracts Engineer - Skills and Abilities
1. Previous experience in a customer or supplier-facing role for a manufacturing company
2. A good understanding of mechanical engineering (Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous)
3. Ability to interpret engineering drawings
4. Comfortable working from BOMs, work instructions, work orders, and sales orders
5. Familiar with the full Microsoft suite of products
6. Well organized with good attention to detail
