The role
As a Maintenance Engineer at RNAS Culdrose, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll be working at an MOD site, which provides training to the next generation of military capability and support staff.
Your role will be to maintain a safe, legally compliant, functional and compliant environment. Day to day, you'll play a leading role in the delivery of all maintenance services and associated contract outputs.
1. Working alongside a small team to deliver Planned Maintenance, Reactive repairs and remedial works.
2. This can include, but not is not limited to; Alarm systems, Fixed Electrical systems, Lighting Systems & Door controls
3. Complete all reports and associated paperwork
4. Partake in the on-call rota, usually 1 week in 4, allowances will be paid and company van provided
This role is full time and based onsite at RNAS Culdrose.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Engineer
5. Previous experience delivering facilities management services for buildings and various equipment
6. Ideally with electrical bias, but we will consider other trades to include HVAC, Mechanical or Plumbing
7. Flexible with a “can-do anything” – “multi-skilling” attitude
8. Appreciation of working at height, Step Ladder use and inspection.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Engineer
9. Full UK driving licence
10. Recognised qualification in a building service discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or Plumbing)
11. Electrical Engineering – City and Guilds parts one and two or equivalent (17th or 18th edition) is highly desirable
Security Clearance
12. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
