First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Assistant Payroll Manager to join their team in Leatherhead.
Support and assist the Payroll Manager in delivering all payroll functions within my client’s day to day business and daily processing of operative timesheets.
My client is a property maintenance and installation organisation, the Mechanical arm specialises in the servicing, repair and installation of gas central heating and hot water services to local authority and Housing Association landlords.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the daily timesheet processing, adjusting timesheets where required and managing the recall process as directed by the Payroll Manager.
2. Support with the implementation of Staffology Payroll Software.
3. Support the Payroll Manager with the preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls.
4. Process New Starters, Leavers and all Absence Record Forms as directed by the Payroll Manager.
5. Respond to enquiries via the Payroll Inbox, the Payroll/Timesheet Helpline and provide requested data from internal customers and external third parties.
6. Pension Administration for Monthly and Weekly Payrolls.
7. Provide timely and accurate weekly & monthly payroll production as and when required in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
8. Complete manual calculations of overtime and holiday.
9. Processing of all confidential data and applying updates to the Payroll in-house database.
10. Checking SSP, Maternity, Paternity, Jury Service payments on a weekly and monthly basis.
11. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Payroll Manager.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
12. Previous experience within Payroll.
13. Data Entry skills.
14. Computer literate.
15. Excellent communication skills.
16. Able to work alone and within a team.
17. Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your role.
Desirable:
18. Previous experience using Staffology Payroll Software.
